Additional Sacred 2: Fallen Angel Information

T Energy has been flowing through Ancaria since time itself. This mysterious power forms the beginning of all life, is the source of all magic and the origin of all thought. For an era, it was the angelic Seraphim who watched over the T Energy and therefore over the fate of the entire world. They passed their knowledge on to the High Elves, so that they could benefit from T Energy. But the High Elves let the power over T Energy tear their society apart, and war and strife broke out. Worse than that, the T Energy itself went out of control, turning negative and creating destructive evil in the land. The nobility as well as the clerical caste of the High Elves struggled to seize power over the high-elvish imperium, so that they alone might hold the T Power in their rule. The land once more faced with war; a war that was much larger with more far reaching consequences than all previous wars and battles. Two thousand years before Shaddar, the cry for heroes arises to avert this war and to regain control over the T Energy. Will those heroes prevent the world from lapsing into final chaos, or will they instead deepen it with their actions?

What Customers Say About Sacred 2: Fallen Angel:

Although the game starts out very good with numerous quests, weapon and spell options, and a huge world to explore, the game has several major flaws that make it a waste of money. HUH.Problem# 2: while east or south of the desert, the game crashed anytime it started to rain with lightning. I could not run a patch from the website because an error message that "the language of the patch donloaded is not recognized" kept appearing.Problem# 1: on the silver difficulty mode, whenever I resume a current game, my starting place was at the very beginning location of the game. This happened with every character I played and technical support responded to this problem with "it is supposed to do that". Every time with 2 different characters. After the 5th crash I uninstalled the game and stored it away.

If there was a way to change the mapping so that I could use the right mouse button for camera control (which is what I'm used to) it would be fine, but there is no such option. That's all I could take because the camera control is so cumbersome. The Good:- Graphics are good but not spectacular- Character customization is very good with a lot of optionsThe Bad:- Storyline is banal (in the first 4 hours, anyway)- Tons of fetch quests with little or no plot- Camera control is mapped to the scroll wheel and cannot be changedI only played about four hours of Sacred 2. If there was full movement of the camera via the keyboard I could probably live with it, but there isn't: you can only rotate left and right (you cannot pivot up and down). If the game had "grabbed" me I might have tried to work through these user interface issues, but the storyline was uninspired and the combat was repetitive and uninteresting. The game uses the third mouse button / scroll wheel to enable free movement of the camera. This button is difficult to hold down on my mouse and made my hand cramp. Some of the scenes were beautiful and the equipment and character progression was fun to play with, but that was not enough for me to put up with the camera control and I figured that if the story was trite at the beginning it probably would only get worse (most RPG's have great beginnings and only mediocre endings). Guess I'll have to wait for Diablo 3 - and hope Blizzard lets you remap the mouse buttons.

A very fun hack n slash RPG with a main quest line, a character quest line, and a ton of side quests.

The online version has some lags and as stated by others, some lobby issues. Try playing off-line, I think you will enjoy it much more as there doesn't seem that large an on-line presence for this game outside of Europe where I hear it is very big. This game can be played off-line, and in fact I found it much more enjoyable this way. Most of what I wanted to say is better expressed by Andrew's review. (Make sure you have weather turned on). I find it beautiful, entertaining and the system for leveling up and item collection positively addictive.

After starting in bronze to feel my way through I quickly switched to silver and have played through the end with two characters.

It was a bit frustrating getting the online version to play in Vista.

What a long way RPGs have come.

I will just add a few of my own points.

I think you will find it just as enjoyable as I have.I am a 52 year old granny who has been playing computer RPG since the stone ages when Sierra first came out with their King's Quest and Space Quest games back in the late 80's, early 90's.

A tip for Vista users, play in "administrator" on Vista, seems to be the only way to get on-line.I have been playing this game for months.

With six characters, both "good" and "bad", the play can be endless.

I am constantly amazed at the beauty and sophistication, especially in a game like Sacred II which is visually stunning.

Can't say enough good about this game which I have definitely gotten my moneys worth from.

Shut down all running apps on your computer and reinstall. That right to play in single player mode you need to ports on your firewall. First, the DMR authentication process, requires you open port on your firewall just to even play the game in single player mode. Then run a manual version of there patch. Now if that part wasn't bad enough, when you run there current patch, it's fails. The instruction given by there support, is too, first delisence the product (over board DMR), then uninstall, then run a clean up agent. This is awful design and bad programing. I would recommend avoiding ascaron and cdv all together as a whole.
